The Brooklyn Bureau is a project of City Limits, New York City's leading civic news organization, publishes in-depth coverage and investigative journalism on Brooklyn and provides tools for civic engagement. Funded jointly by the Brooklyn Community Foundation and the James L. Knight Foundation, BkBureau.org provides the citizens of Brooklyn—which, if independent, would be America's fourth largest city—with in-depth reporting on matters of public concern, a forum for thoughtful debate of issues facing Brooklyn, and news from the borough's myriad and diverse neighborhoods.The Bureau also provides tools for readers wishing to participate in Brooklyn's cultural and civic life.
